A catalyst for public-private partnerships in vaccine related research and business
Next Flanders Vaccine’s event:
Looking back at Flanders Vaccines events 2020:
Immunity for Health 2020 – Vaccine Hesitancy: Where are we today? – October 8, 2020
In the light of COVID-19, Flanders Vaccine organized its first corona proof, hybrid event, on October 8, 2020.
Together we succeeded in creating a safe event, where challenges and solutions for vaccine hesitancy could be discussed.
COVID-19 Webinar Series 2020 – June 18 & 25, 2020
In both sessions, Flanders Vaccine members from academia and industry shared up-to-date scientific information on the special road to a vaccine or treatment to control the COVID-19 pandemic. The series was split in two parts:
• Webinar 1: Pre-clinical and clinical research for an unknown virus
• Webinar 2: COVID-19: Prevention and Cure
Tools for collaboration
We want to stimulate innovation in the development of immunotherapeutics and vaccines by catalyzing new public-private partnerships between knowledge centers, health organisations, pharmaceutical and biotech companies. This should reinforce the leading position in the development and improvement of vaccines for both prevention as well as therapy of a wide range of diseases.
Boost your knowledge
Research, development and production of vaccines and immunotherapeutics is a complex process involving a multidisciplinary field of expertise. An overview of institutions offering courses and training programmes in relevant aspects related to vaccinology can be found here.
Flanders Vaccine supports the development of immunotherapeutics and vaccines for both prophylactic and therapeutic targets in humans and animals by facilitating the exchange of know-how and complementary innovative technologies between academia and industry. The Flanders Vaccine platform can be seen as an integrated tool that gives rise to more and better partnerships.
